Philip J Davies Holdings plc is a family-owned and run property company with over 50 years expertise in the sector. Based in Altrincham, the company has amassed an impressive portfolio of commercial buildings located mainly in the North West. Some of the portfolio has been refurbished over the last few years, with Sevendale House in the Northern Quarter the latest building to start on site.
Originally set up by Philip J Davies himself in the 1960s, the company is now run by son Mark Davies, who came on board in 2002 following a successful legal career. Philip’s career actually started in fashion, where he worked in a factory in Ancoats, Manchester manufacturing raincoats. He quickly realised the potential in property and made the switch in sectors in the 60s, building up an impressive portfolio over the next five decades.
In addition to Sevendale House, which Philip purchased in 1986, there are 12 properties within the portfolio which include, Oldham County Court, Murray House in Piccadilly Gardens, Heron House in Stockport and Crown House in Chorlton.
The company prides itself on providing tenants with good quality space at the right price. Long-term relationships have been forged with tenants over the years and as the refurbishment of Sevendale House continues to take shape, Mark is keen to develop this ethos there, offering the right rent to attract the right tenants.
The Company is aware of the importance of providing occupiers with workspace which is modern, efficient and embraces the latest technology.
