As part of Manchester’s Heart Safe campaign, Sevendale House is now the proud owner of a defibrillator. The PAD (public access defibrillator), which is located next to the reception, by the disabled access entrance, is available for use by both tenants and members of the public to assist someone who is in cardiac arrest. While there is an inevitable element of fear when it comes to using a defibrillator on someone, the device comes with clear instructions and cannot be used incorrectly. For tenants who would like formal training, this can be arranged. For those interested, please liaise with the reception at Sevendale House or email [email protected]Owned by Philip J Davies Holdings plc, Sevendale House is managed by Strategic Property Management and home to over 600 workers.Phil Spark, of Strategic Property Management, said; “The aim of Manchester’s Heart Safe Campaign was to ensure the public are never more than four minutes away from a defibrillator in the city centre and so we’re delighted to get involved and help that campaign become a reality. Sevendale House is now fully let and this defib is available not only for all our tenants should it be necessary, but it is also accessible for members of the public. While we hope it is never needed, we felt it was important to have one on site and want to empower people to train on it, if that would make them feel more comfortable.”
