The restoration of Sevendale House, one of the Northern Quarter’s most prominent buildings, has now reached practical completion, creating 65,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and an additional 15,000 sq ft of retail space.
Owned by Philip J Davies Holdings plc, the £6m renovation of the 120,000 sq ft Grade II listed building is one of the most significant office refurbishment schemes undertaken in Manchester in recent times.
Work involved a complete refurbishment of the five upper office floors, providing Grade A space, in typical floor plates of 15,900 sq ft. The floors can sub-divide enabling it to cater for a range of sizes, with each floor retaining original characteristics where possible, with the reintroduction of the building’s original lightwell a key feature of the restoration.
ARJ are the contractors for the Roger Stephenson-designed scheme, with OBI Property both project managers and leasing consultants for the development. Daniel Harris & Co are joint letting agents on the scheme.
